She is a member of the Tennessee American Choral Directors Association, where she is the Repertoire Standards Chair for Community Choruses. She has also served on the boards of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra and the Knoxville Orchestra, and has served as a board member and chairwoman of several community choir organizations in Nashville and Chattanooga, and as an active member of the Music Hall of Fame in Chattanooga and Nashville, Tennessee.
One of the musical highlights of her life was taking part in the Bach organ tour through East Germany and playing an organ by J.S. Bach on the organ. She earned a Master of Music in Music from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and was previously a member of both the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and the Tennessee American Choral Directors Association.
Dr. Ford teaches at Rossville, where her performance group has consistently received outstanding reviews at festivals, and at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
