She remained on the faculty and practiced as a primary care physician in the University of Virginia Department of Student Health and as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University.
In this role, she is dedicated to serving residents and medical students and is also a member of the board of directors of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has been honored by several academic and professional associations, including the National Academy of Medical Sciences, the Association of American Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the International Society for Obstetrical and Gynecological Medicine.

Cindi worked at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Knoxville and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for ten years before becoming a nurse. She has been a vascular nurse since 2012 and spent three years in the cardiac intensive care unit at Children's Hospital of Chattanooga before becoming a nurse. Dave has also acted as if he has no interest in any other medical practice except his own practice in Nashville, Tennessee.
