Wow...a self summary. They don't ask much of you here, do they? I'm a natural devil's advocate, but don't let that deter you: I *love* to talk about anything, especially with people who can debate well.

I'm also very much into computers, especially since I like tough challenges and teaching myself new things. I'm a guiltless Trekkie, although I would never pull an involuntary person into an all-night Star Trek fest ;P

i get bored easily and when i get bored bad decisions usually follow. i'm still not sure whether or not i'm the kind of person who can ever learn contentment. i don't understand the concept of settling. i have met few people who have made much of an impact on me. i like to debate and there are more than a few people, friends among them, who would say i am a bitch. i don't personally consider myself a bitch, i just never back down from any type of challenge if i know that i am right. i love music and the people that create it. how they can so eloquantly describe emotions i can't find words for through melodies and lyrics inspires me. unintended by muse is my favorite song right now because it summarizes beautifully where my life is. i am condesending, capricious, cliche, cabalistic, confused, clever, contentious, curious, callous... ok thats enough c words even though i can think of a couple of others that have been used to describe me. i can't do an accent to save my life, unless you count gizmo from gremlins and even that isn't a good one. it takes a while for me to fall in love and only a few minutes for me to stop giving a shit. i will be an author, i love to write however, as mentioned above, i can tend to be cliche so thats something i'm working on. if you are a twenty or thirty year old woman with a tinkerbell anything, i think your trashy. i think about hitting things a lot. in the jung typology test i am an intj. i can see through people immediately. don't ever try to lie to me because if i care about you i will remember everything you say and it will be come obvious eventually. on the DiSC profile I am a D results oriented. one thing that no one can say about me is that i am fake. people always know where they stand with me for better or worse. i am very judgemental but not about sterotypes or preconceptions. i will know within five minutes of meeting you if i like you or not...

My name is Avery and I'm a self-professed artisan geek. I love the theater, film, literature, and music, of all natures and types. I am taking time off from school to work and build life experience (read: I dropped out 'cause I'm a slacker that couldn't get up for class and I figured no school is worth dropping several grand a year to spin wheels). I am very laid back, and enjoy going out, but not to nightclubs anymore, I rarely ever drink and I can't dance. Never been married and I have no children. I have an apartment where I've lived by myself for some time now. I work all the time, have my own car, and I'm very self-sufficent and independent. I love listening to music, reading, and spontaneous acts of travel. I've become more of a beer drinker in recent times, so I'm building an appreciation for dark beers. I am a very happy person. I am very ambitious and believe in working hard and being everything that God wants me to be. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I just moved to the Chattanooga area from Massachusetts. I dont know anyone so I joined here through advice of a friend. I just came back from living in Switzerland for 4 months training for work. I'm looking to make friends and meet people who want to hang out and can have a good time. Hopefully they will know the area better then me and can show me around. I'm a huge sports fan especially MMA, basketball and baseball...also a gators fan but I keep that on the dl.

But in general just your normal college grad hobo-ing around until a job. I do a lot of hiking, weight lifting, biking, dreaming. Sort of a super-nerd in my fascination with pretty much everything.
I love to cook, I can snob it up with the best of them when it comes to most food and drink, but I can't escape my love of all things deep fried.
Right now all I want to do is travel around the middle of nowhere in some remote hell hole, and commit horrible acts of red neck engineering in the field of navel architecture.

I am really bad at these but I will try and sum my self up the best way I can. I am from a very redneck hillbilly family. I am the oldest son of 6 kids. I am gay and am proud of it. I am working in the health insurance industry and loving it. But I am someone that needs more to life. And I want to fulfill that need I not only want to be able to sustain myself in job but also be happy in my relationships. At this point in time I am working on my business management degree, so that I don't have to be stuck in just one position in my life but can move where I want with that degree and my experience. I am an independent person and always have been. I love my independence but sometimes it just gets monotonous and I need a change.

I like all kinds of music, especially celtic music, and 20's and 30's jazz and swing. I like SF/F lit and movies, good whisky and port wines, nature, animals, fencing and medieval history. I like to work in my workshop at metalworking, leatherworking, woodworking and anything else that strikes my fancy. I play guitar and like to sing.

I am more prone to staying in than going out; I play a fair amount of video games and I LARP.

I like to go fishing now and then, too.

I'm a confirmed smartass; it's hardwired. Mostly I do a pretty good job of keeping it restrained to the appropriate times and places.

I'm also the (divorced) dad of a beautiful, bright and sassy five-year-old girl.
